Where do you find your inspiration to continue working on a dead-technology like FTN?

I find programming relaxing compared to my day job. And there are some nice people still using the software, so why not spend a few hours every now and then. Its like fishing ... it clears the brain.

Indeed, embedded real-time systems cannot be compared to the old-school relaxed store-and-forward :-)

That's the real motivation to spend more time on something which brings a very positive feedback. I'm happy that you found a niche product which solves well German Fidonet users' issues with using 8bit encoding software with German language.

I actually think it works well for russian now as I sorted out all the charset stuff. The main thing is that somebody has to translate the language file.
