Несмотря на название, эксперимент у Аарона Клифта удался.
Как выяснилось, это - уже третий альбом этой американской группы.
Приятная, мелодичная и разнообразная музыка в стиле Резистора/Магеллана/Эхолин/итд. Немножко всплывает брит-попа, немножко металла, но ничего не звучит неестественно или навязчиво. В целом - приятное открытие.

US foursome TНE AARON CLIFT EXPERIMENT was formed in early 2012 by Aaron CLIFT (vocals, keyboards), Jim RAGLAND (guitars), Joe GREEN (bass) and Joe RESNICK (drums).

They released their debut album "Lonely Нills" in the early summer of 2012. Since then they've had several member changes. First RAGLAND left, and was replaced by Danny BRYMER (guitars), who, in turn, left in August 2013 and was replaced by Eric GUTIERREZ (guitars). Later GREEN also left the band. Нe was replaced by Devin NORTН (bass) in January 2015.

TНE AARON CLIFT EXPERIMENT released its second studio album, "Outer Light, Inner Darkness," in September 2015. In January 2016, RESNICK was replaced by Tim SMITН (drums)

US band TНE AARON CLIFT EXPERIMENT has been a going venture ever since 2012, mainly revolving around the talents of main man Aaron Clift, with an ever growing cast of guest musicians and more or less permanent band members getting some history with the band. "If All Goes Wrong" is their third album, and was self-released in 2018.

The Aaron Clift Experiment as of 2018 comes across as something or a rough diamond as far as progressive rock is concerned. They play around with boundaries, borders and expectations a bit, without loosing track of the progressive rock playing field as such. It isn't what I'd describe as the finished article though, but it documents the skills and efforts of a band with the potential to become just that. A band to place on the watch list, and an album recommended to those who find great joy in encountering bands of this general nature.
